UPCOMING EXHIBITS High Mountains Flowing Water: International Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Painting Society, North America Branch October 26 - 29 Opening Reception and Artist Demonstrations: Friday, October 26,  6 - 10pm Contemporary and traditional Asian scrolls of calligraphy and ink painting by 33 artists from 11 countries, curated by Casey Shannon OSA member, Director of North America Branch.  International Chinese Calligraphic Art and Ink Painters Society (ICCPS) is made up of artists with different backgrounds and styles from all over the world tied together with the same love for Chinese ink painting and calligraphy.n Spanning continents of high mountains, and crossing oceans of flowing water, the artists hope to share their art with the rest of the world. Visitors are welcome!   continuing through August 30: First Annual Plein Air Portland Show juror:  Sarkis Antikajian OSA's first annual exhibit focused on plein air painting, featuring recent works created outdoors in Oregon and Washington    NEXT IN THE GALLERY Fall Juried Show September 9 - 25 juror:  Wayne Jiang Opening Reception: Sunday, September 9,  1 - 3pm OSA's annual Fall Juried Show of work by our members.   Our juror, Wayne Jiang, is a new instructor for OSA.  He'll be teaching an acrylic painting class this fall. The Fall Juried Show does not have a subject theme in order to allow members to have more options for which paintings they’d like to submit. Cost for entry: $25 one painting, $5 for second painting. Maximum submission is two per artist. Please refer to framing guidelines on the OSA website. Rose West 200 for under $200 Show and Sale November 2 -27 juror:  Liz Walker Opening Reception: Friday, November 2,  6 - 8pm Create an art piece on a 12"x12" cradled panel (purchased from OSA with entry fee) for a gala reception, exhibition, and sales extravaganza! This event promises to be a great show and fundraiser for OSA!  Artists are already hard at work -- only a few panels are left to purchase.  The cost for the first panel is $35. $10 for additional panels, maximum 3 per artist.  No commission is taken on artwork sold during this event.
