Portrait Drawing from Life with Nathan Seay Fridays, 6-9pm | October 11 - December 20 This comprehensive class spans the entire process of constructing a head, though observation, of a live model. Students can expect thorough class demonstrations, as well as one-on-one feedback. Drop-ins welcome

The OSA Gallery is free and open to the public:  Monday - Saturday, 1 - 4 pm with special opening reception hours as announced in exhibit listings.

OSA/Portland Photographers' Forum Collaborative Exhibit October 7 - 24 OSA welcomes PPF for this joint exhibit. 2019 200 FOR UNDER $200 Art Show and Sale November 1 - December 5 Opening Reception:  November 1, 6-9pm Juror: Anji Grainger This year's Annual 200 for Under $200 Art Show and Sale breaks the record with 125 participating artists from the Portland area and beyond. With, actually, over 200 12" x 12" panels priced at or below $200, you don't want to miss this exhibit! Join us at the opening reception for awards and prize drawings on November 1, 6-9pm. Find that perfect gift for yourself or someone special. We are still accepting donations of new art materials for the raffle and award packages for the winning artists.

The street photographer is always on the go. Planning the next location or urban adventure. Capturing what the eye sees. People. places, the human interest of street life. Researching prevailing lighting and weather conditions, time of day, and becoming street-wise are all part of the process. Join us for an evening of "Street Photography: As they saw it."

UPCOMING WORKSHOP

WATERCOLOR BATIK ON RICE PAPER with Kristie Mooney October 11-13, 2019 9:30am - 4pm This will be a 3 day workshop focused on creating a Batik using watercolors on Enryu rice paper.  Kristie will meet each student individually to help with their own photo (or they have the option of using one of the instructors) focusing on technique, composition and design.
