Watercolor Society of Oregon 2019 Spring Experimental Show April 8-30 Jean Pederson, Juror Alice Tetamore, Hanging Out in Costa Rica

OSA welcomes the Watercolor Society of Oregon to the OSA Gallery. The WSO Spring Experimental Show features some of Oregon's best watercolor artists, and is a must-see experience. From an original entry field of 286 paintings by 172 artists, 80 paintings were juried into the show by internationally-known watercolor medium artist, Jean Pederson. OSA is well represented in the show, which includes many of our own instructors and students. OSA congratulates the exhibiting artists.

This workshop offers a fresh approach for acrylic and collage artists. Five demos will focus on step by step techniques, designed to develop your mental and artistic courage. Examples of new approaches for transparent collage papers, controlling value gradation with a high density foam roller, and expressive line making with sgraffito tools, are specifically designed for artists ready to step up to a new level of creative expression.

Following each demo, a short video will reveal how to move past the basics to a completed painting.
