"FROM PLEIN AIRE TO STUDIO" 
DRAWING AND PAINTING FROM NATURE!
Plein Aire, Alla Prima & Studio Practice-all 2d. media welcome! WEDNESDAY MORNING CLASSES 9:30AM. TO 12:30PM.

Learning to draw, paint & design from life is an ongoing inspiration & practice. We will paint & draw outside when possible, bring nature into the studio for Still Life and move into the Character Figure when the rains come. As always, students maintain an Artists Journal-sketching, writing, etc. This 8 week course will cover a variety of materials, techniques, color study & surfaces to give you the basics and a NEW portfolio of your own art & ideas. Those who wish to learn to paint in oils are welcome and encouraged!
From here larger projects are possible.

Dates:  Sept. 14, 21, 28…Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26…Nov. 2 (future dates TBA) Cost for this series: $240.00 (drop in $35.00)

Instructor
Nancy Smith Klos is an award winning painter who has lived in the NW since 1985. From 1990 to 2005 her French Pictorial tapestries were commissioned by a national clientele and featured on OPB's ArtBeat & HGTV's Modern Masters. In 2016 Nancy was the Artist-In Residence at The Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland, Oregon. This two month show was also a two year retrospective of her paintings in Sumi-E ink and oils. This show was written up by NYC Arts Writer Bob Bahr and featured twice in Plein Air and OutDoor Painter Magazine. "She Paints Plein Aerial".
