PORTRAIT SCULPTURE

We will learn many of the fundamentals of sculpting the portrait using classical casts as reference then graduate to using a live model. This course will focus on teaching the forms of the human head. The course will be valuable in terms of understanding form in real space and when approaching any form in nature. 2D artists will enhance their skills by utilizing the principles taught in this course. Graphic 3D artists will also enhance their skills by gaining a better understanding of the figure and 3 dimensional forms.
Chris will provide supplies the first day. Bring $50 to class.

DRAWING AND PAINTING ON THE IPAD

Whether you are interested in digital painting as the end result, or simply a tool to help with sketches and pre-planning your traditional paintings, this class will make your iPad an integral part of your art supplies. We will be working mainly in Procreate, and a little in Sketchbook. We will work on a variety of projects in different styles of art, as well as on photographs of your traditional media work. This September OSA hosts the Fall Juried Show for members only. Steve Kleier is our Juror. Artwork must be original and not shown in previous shows at OSA, and may be any medium or style. Cradle boards accepted. Collage material must be the artist's original media on paper. Photography, digital art, and 3D art will not be accepted for this show.
$25 for one painting, $30 for two paintings; maximum two paintings per artist.

OSA welcomes PPF for this joint exhibit. Expect to see photopraphs produced in a myraid of ways - from pinhole and toy cameras to large format view cameras. The work may be digital, traditional color, and black and white, silver, ink jet or platinum. Come experience photography as fine art!
