The February Show is usually a “Winter” show.  As our world turns and begins to gather more light, we begin to experience longer days and less darkness.  Artists might express the essence of the show title through their interpretation of subject matter, or in compositional aspects such as light/dark values patterns, and movement.

Greg Lewis

Greg Lewis hosts an informative presentation of the life and times of Dutch master, Rembrandt Van Rijn.

Best known for his paintings, print making and drawings, Rembrandt (1606-1669), took the Dutch painting establishment by storm. Producing a vast array of portraits, biblical, allegorical scenes and landscapes, Rembrandt reflected 17th-century Dutch art culture like no other artist.   He is considered by many to be one of the most influential artists in the art history of Western civilization.

This is a public art-appreciation event for artists and non-artists alike.  All are welcome to attend.  Bring a friend!
