We have spent the last couple weeks doing Oregon landscapes, which included many water scenes. This week we will add the element of boats. Because of their shape boats are a very particular thing to paint. I will show you how to look at boats like an artist and making them look good in your painting.

One of the great things about landscape painting is the way an artist can make the illusion of depth. This affect is often seen in the Oregon landscape. We will take a beautiful Oregon scene and do a simple painting that shows how the atmosphere affects what we see over distance.
