Marilyn Zornado Comes to OSA

An Artists Journal with Calligraphy
Thursdays March 2 - April 28
1 - 4pm Downstairs
$200 8/weeks

An Artist’s Journal serves as an informal path for artists to sharpen their skills as they reflect on daily life.

We will explore several types of artist journals such as a writing a daily poem or a daily sketch, recording a trip, documenting the birds or plants you find.  A good journal combines the skills of the illustrator, the calligrapher, the writer, the bookbinder, the graphic designer, the poet, the researcher, and the travel writer.

With a focus on how to incorporate your own art practice into a journal format, we will cover: basic bookbinding skills, (so you can make your own journals,) calligraphy techniques, page design, and writing skills.
