The North America Branch of ICCPS International Chinese
Calligraphy and Ink Painting Society is having a spectacular exhibition of
calligraphy and sumi-e at OSA Oregon Society of Artists. October 26 – 29, 2018.
High Mountains Flowing Water is a classical Chinese song
honoring friendship. The North America Branch of ICCPS is made up of artists with
different backgrounds and styles from all over the world tied together with the
same love for Chinese ink painting and calligraphy. Spanning continents of high
mountains, and crossing oceans of flowing water, the artists hope to share
their art with the rest of the world.
Opening Reception: October 26th
from 6-10pm

Demonstrations begin at 7:30pm
Chinese
music performed by Bi Hai of Wisdom Arts Academy of Portland. 6-7:30pm
Hors
d’oeuvres and Wine
Contemporary
and traditional Asian scrolls of calligraphy and ink painting by 30 artists
from 11 countries will be on display. The show is curated by Casey Shannon OSA
member, Director of North
America Branch. International Chinese Calligraphic Art and Ink Painters
Society and Annie Gazeley, long-time Portland resident and supporter
of the Arts.
