Your support will ensure that artistic opportunities are available for you and others from around our community – including those not otherwise served: our area Veterans, the children from our local 4H programs, the students from Albertina Kerr. You will help provide essential funding that ensures classes are taught in properly equipped spaces with appropriate equipment and scholarship funds are available to even more students may participate in high-quality arts education and public art exhibitions continue.

You know that your work and student-centered instruction are important and at the heart of our mission at OSA. We strive every day, with every workshop and course to promote the visual arts in the diverse communities of our region with educational and exhibition opportunities for artists at all levels of accomplishment.

Opening in the Gallery

Opening Reception: December 15, Sunday 1 - 3pm



 OSA  Presents it's second exhibit of original art by US Military Veterans. At the opening we will be entertained by Randall Vemer/Cynthia Trif Navy Veteran Sporano. The exhibit includes works in mediums such as drawing, painting, photography, glass work, and more.

OSA VETERAN SHOW
December 15, 2019 - January 5, 2020

Opening Reception: Sunday, Dec 15 | 1-3pm
OSA presents its second exhibit of original work by U.S. Military veterans. Last year, the exhibit included works in media such as drawing, painting, fine-art printmaking, photography, sculpture, and glass. Don't miss this varied and exciting exhibit!
NEW UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
OIL & COLD WAX
with Lisa Mann
December 14-15, 2019 | 9:30am - 4pm
In this 2 day intensive and interactive workshop Lisa  will introduce the process of using oil and cold wax to create meaningful paintings through layering, textures, color, and visual storytelling. In addition to the  techniques of working in oils and cold wax medium, we will also cover the fundamentals of abstract art elements to help you evaluate your work.
Don't miss Lisa's FREE demonstration on December 12, 11am - 12pm. this demo will introduce the same principals as this workshop.

PROCREATE - ANALOG PAINTING; DIGITAL EXPERIMENTATION
with Ruth Armitage
January 25-27, 2020 | 9:00am - 4pm
Learn how digital exploration can expand your painting process. You’ll use the Procreate app and an iPad to plan and alter works in progress. Learn to use this inexpensive app to try out ideas before you execute them in paint. Ruth will begin the workshop with instruction on using the app to draw, paint, and use layers to experiment on photos of paintings in process.
You’ll then work on your own projects in your choice of water-based media. Acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media are all welcome. The process of using Procreate encourages growth and exploration. It is an excellent visualization tool for new and advanced artists. Please bring an iPad with a current version of Procreate. An Apple Pencil or stylus is also helpful.
