The art of drawing is one of the simplest forms of human communication. Millennial in its traditions and still a favorite among artists for its line, tonal quality and textures. Now, since the advent of color pencil technology, the combination of colored pigments and wax and oil-based binders has opened up new medium breakthroughs from emerging students to advanced professionals. join us for an evening of Color Pencil on Exhibit.

Meet your instructor: Greg Lewis
Whether it's a design commission or consultation, art lecture, painting workshop, creating custom furnishings, designing a book cover, art show judging – even leading a customized art tour – Greg Lewis is ready to work on your project.

Greg is celebrating 45+ years of creating contemporary art and fine art decor for clients in architecture, interior design, publishing, art collections, liturgical and healing environments.

In addition to his art and design studio practice, Greg taught drawing, painting, and watercolor studios for over two decades at Concordia University-Portland and was co-founder of its Art & Culture Program. He led tours of London and Paris for art and culture studies in art and architecture. 

Greg holds degrees in Commercial Art/Graphic Design and in Visual Communications Education.

BEGINNERS GUIDE TO PASTEL PAINTING

This one-day workshop is the perfect opportunity for artists who are curious about using pastel. It is a day to explore the joys of pastels to see if you want to dive in further. All you need to bring is a drawing board to accommodate a 9 x 12 piece of sanded pastel paper. All other supplies will be provide.

CALIFORNIA VIBE IN WATERCOLOR
with David Lobenberg
Students will learn watercolor portraiture that goes beyond the norm with super expressive paint applications and wildly intense colors. ABSOLUTELY NO DRAWING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY – You will work from photo references both provided by me and your own. A tracing technique will be utilized for all paintings.
